ה IVC בשבילי זה קהילה, זה משפחה! כשחזרתי מהמילואים בעזה אחרי כמה חודשים יחד עם הצוות שלי, הרגשתי מבולבל ומפוחד לחזור למציאות ולחיים בלי הצוות שאני מרגיש בטוח ליידו. אחרי מפגש עם אהרון והארגון החיים נראים אחרת. אני מחכה למפגשים כל שבוע וזה נותן לי כוח לעבור עוד שבוע. אני מצליח להתמודד וגם לעזור לאנשים אחרים מהניסיון שאני חווה וצובר. הארגון הזה רק בתחילת דרכו ואני צופה לו גדילה משמעותית בעשייה ובצורך. כמובן שאשמח להמשיך להיות חלק משמועתי בארגון. מהקמתו ועד עכשיו מתווספים עוד לוחמים שחוזרים מהמילואים ומקיימים מפגשים שבועיים שבהם מדברים על הדברים בנינו וגם עם אנשי מקצוע, יוצאים לפעילויות מיים ולימי כייף.
I was of the first to fly back after the horrendous attack on October 7 in order to serve in the IDF reserves. When I got back, I felt alone, and like no one understood me. Aaron, together with the IVC Israel veterans club has created a community that is not just there for support, but looks out for you like family.
One of the essential things in a soldier’s service is when the fighting is over, and you finally get to go home; you need to be able to share and communicate your experience with others who have been through similar experiences. You want to know that you are in a safe and secure environment. You want to see that you got your boys because when it all settles, war comes home with you, and what’s better than to fight that fight with friends and brothers who are fighting the same thing? So, IVC gave me that; it gave me friends, brothers, and a family, and together, we can get through anything. My appreciation for this organization and family is far more than words. I’m blessed to be a part of it and to have you guys by my side.
